Street Providence Trust GOA is looking to connect this homeless man from Cuncolim to his family
STREET PROVIDENCE TRUST GOA has been looking after Mr Mario , a goan , who is homeless, with no family at all , and amputated in 1 leg from 14.10.2018 Mario was admitted in GMC for an operation may be in beginning Oct 2018. He is actually having no family members and no home. Claims he is from cuncolim. Looks like alcohol was his downfall and by the time he realised it , his leg had to be amputated. He got his leg amputated AT GMC and because of the kind gesture of a police man , who observed that Mario has no one in this world, we at Street providence took him in . Today when he went for a eye check up at GMC , the doctor claims he has blood in his eye and he is being told to do the operation at VISION HOSPITAL MAPUSA , by the doctor at GMC as he has no deendayal card or some crap like this. 1. We are having an official contract to rehabilitate homeless people with THE GOVERNMENT OF GOA signed by GSUDA and that includes free medical facilties for these homeless people . But that is not honoured at all in any places . It is just signed to fool the SUPREME COURT as the GOVERNMENT OF GOA was fined rs 1 lac in August 2018 for non implementation of the scheme. 2. When he has been operated by GMC earlier for his leg , that time there was no issue. 3. Looks like there is something to read in between. 4. The whole system is frustrating from top to bottom. . 5. No one cares a damn about the poor and homeless. 6. If any one can take up this issue with the concerned authorities we will appreciate. 7. See how the HOMELESS POOR GOANS are treated at GMC . 8. Revolutionary Goans please look into our request regarding this case . 9. If any one recognises him from cuncolim please let us know so that we can trace his family if any. Not because we will send him home but because he should not go away from this world homeless. 10 . If anyone wishes to help him with his operation incase GMC does not help then then please let us know. Where r we heading. Goans are not getting help in GMC. Where would Mario been today if on 14.10.2018 , that policeman did not bring him to us to look after . What would his state be ? I doubt he would be alive and as good as he is . How many such homeless goan people we must have missed from GMC in the past few months, who we could have helped and rehab but we're not informed about or we did not know. I am frustrated with how the poor and homeless are treated ? Can u imagine what Mario must be going thru , amputated , no family , eye sight bad , diabetic , now to operate GMC is refusing . It's a nightmare. At times I feel this is going no where ? Where r the central and state government schemes for the poor and homeless ? We are contemplating shutting down by 15.6.2019 Street Providenxe and putting all these homeless people in front of GSUDA office in Panjim as they are suppose to look into the homeless matter . Funds are given in advance by Centre under NULM SCHEME. Please Google it and see . GSUDA have signed an MOU with STREET PROVIDENCE for rehab and looking after homeless poor people @ rs 2500 per person per month. What can one get with rs 2500 per person per month . Still that too GSUDA is not paying. Hence we terminated our MOU with them with 1 month notice which ends on 10.6.2019. Aree BABUS, give the poor their share . You will be blessed and your families also will get blessed. How much can I do alone ? If there was no funding I understand. Here the funds are given in advance and still ..... We have kept on hold picking up any more homeless people as GSUDA should either pay us our dues or appoint another agency to look after so many homeless Street men and women , 50 % are goan on the roads actually looking for help . With already 80 odd men & women in our homes of which 55 are on medication and require regularly to be taken to hospital, we know what we go thru daily. Please pray for GSUDA officials . Watch the video. God bless you all. Donald Fernandes 8380097564 / 7020314848
